This is a colon biopsy from a 45 year old man undergoing surveillance screening colonoscopy for the indication of family history of colon cancer. His bowel prep was excellent. He had no diarrhea and took no non steroidal anti-inflammatory agents. Numerous aphthous lesions were seen in his distal colon.
