Week 74: Case 3

A 45 year old female, 15 months status post cadaveric renal transplant for an original renal disease of membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis, presents with persistent graft dysfunction (serum creatinine 2.8 mg/dL). Her clinical course has been remarkable for 3 biopsy-proven acute rejection episodes, the most recent of which was 4 months ago. Medications include prednisone, mycophenolate mofetil, and tacrolimus (FK 506).
