Week 74: Case 1

A 28 year old white male with a history of proteinuria and microscopic hematuria, but no evidence of a systemic disease. He recently noted onset of mild lower extremity edema following an upper respiratory infection. ANA, ANCA, anti-GBM, hepatitis B and C serologies, and cryoglobulins are all negative, and serum complements are normal. Blood pressure is 140/90. Serum creatinine is 1.7 mg/dL and 24-hour urine protein in 7 grams.
