Week 318: Case 3

The patient is a 64-year-old female who presented with nausea and decreased appetite for several months. Imaging studies revealed a large (8.0 cm) right liver mass with an elevated AFP (3930) and a small ill-defined mass in the head of the pancreas. A partial hepatectomy and an intraoperative pancreas biopsy were performed. Frozen section of the pancreas showed chronic pancreatitis.
