Week 318: Case 1

The patient presented with a recurrence of a brain mass and symptoms related to mass effect and edema, including hemiparesis and altered mental status. She did respond to steroids. She was reviewed in neuro-oncology conference, and based on this discussion, the option of surgery to debulk the recurrent tumor and create space was proposed. She wished to proceed in this direction with the plans for possibly getting some chemotherapy.
