Week 256: Case 3

1. Presented by Peter Illei, M.D. and prepared by Todd Sheridan, M.D.

PET CT scan of this 65 year-old male patient detected a suspicious gallbladder mass. Sixteen months prior the patient had an excisional biopsy and a right neck dissection for a right neck mass, however, no malignancy was detected. Due to the increased activity in the right upper quadrant, the patient underwent an ultrasound, which demonstrated a possible mass in the wall of the gallbladder. Subsequent MRI demonstrated a low-level enhancing gallbladder neck mass. A cholecystectomy was performed.
