Presented by Peter Illei, M.D. and prepared by Kara Judson, M.D.This 42-year-old female patient presented to the ER with a history of gross hematuria for three days and some difficulty in passing urine. Her hematocrit was 17% for which she was transfused with 2 units of blood and continuous bladder irrigation was started for evacuation of blood clots.
