A 62-year-old man underwent screening colonoscopy. The patient was in good health and asymptomatic. Colonoscopy was performed following bowel preparation with oral sodium phosphate, "Phospho-Soda". No polyps were seen, but a small aphthoid ulcer was noted in the rectum and was biopsied.
