Week 21: Case 4

1. Presented by Edward McCarthy, M.D. and prepared by Orin Buetens, M.D.

An 18 year-old man had pain in his knee for 2 years. There was a remote history of a febrile illness. Radiographs revealed a sharply marginated lytic lesion in the metaphyseal portion of the bone adjacent to the epiphyseal plate. The lytic area had a sclerotic rim.
