Week 428: Case 5

1. Presented by Jonathan Epstein, M.D. and prepared by Hillary Ross, M.D.

A 19 year male was noted to have left testicular pain and a palpable mass. Ultrasound demonstrated a well circumscribed, heavily calcified nodule in the left testis. Because of a remote history of trauma to the testis, even though a tumor was favored, an organizing calcified hematoma was considered in the differential diagnosis. The patient underwent an orchiectomy demonstrating a 2.6 cm mass.
