Schowinsky, M.D.This 68-year-old gentleman with a history of asthma, bronchitis and an over 40-pack-year smoking (quit in 1981), S/P CABG developed multiple tooth abscesses and drenching night sweats. CT scan demonstrated marked mediastinal lymphadenopathy, and PET scan demonstrated activity within these enlarged lymph nodes. Following his tooth extractions his night sweats stopped. Endoscopic ultrasound guided biopsy revealed benign lymphoid tissue by flow cytometry.
